To add to the growing list, I also had this product fail on me twice. The first time, it shut off after about an hour. Then it was very sporadic. Occasionally over the next few days it would work for a couple hours at a time, but never more than that. It usually shut off in 10 minutes. I always had to go through a huge ordeal to convince it to work at all, and often it would turn on and then immediately shut off. I had really high hopes about it, because I loved everything else, including the soothing blue night light. (So peaceful and pretty.) So I ordered a second one and returned the first, assuming I had just gotten a bad one. The second one worked perfectly the first and second day, leading me to believe that this time it would survive. On the 3rd day, it started making an incredibly loud and annoying fan sound and wouldn't push out the mist whatsoever. ::sigh:: I did everything correctly, and followed the instructions perfectly, and used only bottled, distilled water. My only difference was when I tried calling Medisana, they never once answered the phone and didn't return a single one of my messages. Fortunately, Amazon customer service was helpful and processed the returns for me. They were both just defective. Very irritating. I was so disappointed that I gave up on humidifiers for a few months, and only yesterday made a purchase for a new, totally unrelated one. Here's hoping.

Great for Snoring and congestion

Medisana Deluxe Personal Humidifier

The Medisana personal humidifier works well beside my bed taking up little space. It has a two speed fan with the light optional as to on or off. I also use it for aromatherapy in my living room using various essential oil blend. A similar product for aromatheraphy alone is almost $100. I like my Medisana very much.

Bad news

I also was unable to get this unit to work. The replacement did not work either, and I am still waiting for a refund.

great little humidifier

I would have given this humidifier 5 stars,however i purchased 1 last year and it only lasted for that long 1 year (which really means the winter season while the house heat is on) On the otherhand, it was the best humidifier i had ever purchased (i purchased a few)Usually humidifiers leave your carpets and floors a soggy, wet mess, ruins furniture. this one is just perfect, i have it in my daughters bedroom it keeps it moist without the mess. the blue light is a really nice color and makes a cool reflection on the ceiling. All in all i liked this humidifier so much that i did purchase another one just like it. hopefully this one will last a bit longer.
